The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols. The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• Current BLS certification
Essential Job Functions:
• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process for patients in the following age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics.
• Documents thoroughly as care is delivered, following regulatory and hospital requirements.
• Assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional development of self and others.
• Practices in a clinical environment through application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills
• Ability to work varied shifts and/or days including weekends and holidays
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must be able to utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, utilize best practices for patient care as expected by department leaders and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Must be able to work in a busy, stressful and work environment where practice changes to meet new patient safety requirements, goals or objectives.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic medical records software.
• Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage workload expectations.
• Interpersonal verbal communication and advanced math skills.
• Creativity, problem analysis, team work and decision making.
100 mile radius rule in effect. The traveler must live at least 100 miles from the facility. If they live within 100 miles from the facility, they are not qualified.
